Interesting facts about grain germination

CereGran® germ buds germinate in 5-6 days. At this stage, an optimum amount of vitamins, trace elements and protein are formed. The germination process is then stopped deliberately to prevent the germ buds using the new vitamins for their own growth. It is for this reason that home grown or bought shoots and germ buds cannot be compared with CereGran®. A process of gentle dehydration is then used to stabilise the nutrients in a measurable way while the sensitive enzymes retain their potency.

The wonder of germination
Water and heat are used to activate the dormant grain. As it begins to germinate, its nutritional value increases substantially. Valuable vitamins, trace elements and protein building blocks (enzymes) are formed rapidly. It is interesting that these are the vital substances so often lacking in our modern day diet, e.g. folic acid.

Improved tolerance for those sensitive to grain!

Some people are intolerant to cereal protein constituents as well as particular cellulose structures. These whole grain components which are not easily digestible are solubilised or even broken down in the germination process. CereGran® is therefore particularly suitable for those who would otherwise have to forego whole grain.
